Digital Storytelling as a research tool
I took part in a digital storytelling workshop that explored how digital storytelling can be used as a research tool. As part of the experience I facilitated some of the workshops and hosted a showcase of our work. The outcome of this experience was 3 short videos where I explored the topic of how developing mental strength & resiliencies is important in navigating life’s challenges.
These digital stories were created as exploration of my own past experiences.
Embrace Imperfection
A story of my grandad’s camera, through which I discovered some valuable lessons. A story of the struggles I faced early on in my life and how I learned to embrace life’s imperfections to turn things around.
Flying Solo
A service that equips parents, teacher and children with resources needed to celebrate & retain heritage language alongside English.
Are You Prepared?
The story of when I was robbed at knife point and the lessons learned about being prepared.
This video is more experimental than the others, this story is told in a more intense tone playing with suspense and drama. As someone who hasn't been confident in using my voice in the past, I really wanted to push the boundaries of my skills.
